Sometimes somethings lead to something / Land Art Sweden
”The sculptures are made by hand and it takes a long time to do it. The technology itself is very easy, it just requires patience. For me, the sculpture symbolize life itself. How we have to take one step at a time to reach our goals. It’s about having faith in what you do. If you just trust life you will create something beautiful. Namely your life story.”
I create veins of cotton fabric that I fill up with padding and they have a core of steel wire. This means that the sculpture is portable and I can travel with it in my suitcase. When I get to the site, I make a site-specific installation, where I use the specific environment and the objects on the site. This makes an temporary installation indoors and outdoors that is highly connected and unique for each site.
The sculpture resembles the veins of a plant, or our human blood system. It triggers the imagination. Some finds it beautiful. Other frightening. It creates almost always an interesting conversation among the visitors .
It can be seen as something very small which has been enlarged . Or something very big that has shrunk. All interpretation is allowed and correct. It is only the imagination that limits the interpretation of this work.
